This week, a total of 21 African leaders are scheduled to attend the United Kingdom-Africa summit. The summit aims to enhance Britain’s ties with Africa, since they have left the European Union. Unfortunately, these African leaders have taken their buffoonery to another level, and I will be very direct here.

In previous posts, I said that a puppet only follows the marionette’s instructions. This is what happened at the summit between Britain and Africa. It is likened to the situation in which the marionette summons all of its puppets to the round table to find out which puppet will most effectively distribute its wealth.

We are currently witnessing the case of the 21 African leaders who attended the United Kingdom – Africa summit, which holds no significance to their people. This raises one question. Is it possible for Africa to operate without resorting to reaching out to European nations for assistance in the name of a summit? What’s going on here, and why are they wasting their time at all these useless meetings that, over the years, haven’t yielded anything of value to their people?

I would like to ask my esteemed readers, if you are aware of the situation surrounding Africa, what importance is the United Kingdom to Africa? If this summit is supposed to improve relations with Africa, who is going to get the benefit, the common African man on the streets or the leaders in power?

As an expert in African history, I am aware that the majority of African people have never received any assistance from the United Kingdom since the end of colonization. What’s the purpose of this summit? Currently, Britain is attempting to involve Egypt, which indicates their desperate state and imminent financial ruin. Is it not amusing to observe that America, which the British once colonized, has surpassed them as the global power?

Because of the change in power balance, Britain now takes orders from its former colony, America, which means they are no longer important? When their power and influence have waned over the years, why are African leaders still having summits with Britain? If America is capable of exerting control over their colonial masters, then why not Africa?

The truth is that the primary goal of this summit is to bring together representatives from all of Britain’s overseas territories and reaffirm their commitment to them. Do you know how many colonial British companies are operating in Africa? Some of these companies began operations before independence and are still operational in all former British territories. This only means that the summit is more like a way to make sure Britain’s assets in its colonies are safe after it leaves the European Union.

Britain’s last resort after leaving the European Union is Africa. This United Kingdom – Africa summit is not meant for the African people, but for the United Kingdom to add more companies to operate in Africa. This would give them a better financial option after they leave the E.U. What we see today are the deals these African countries made with their colonial masters. Britain has no intention of departing from Africa solely based on the potential benefits it stands to derive from it, rather than due to the dire circumstances faced by the African people.
