To begin, we must define what a puppet is. A puppet is a moving object that can imitate different people and is controlled by a puppeteer. Even though the puppet appears to be capable of autonomous movement, the puppeteer controls and manipulates it.
When a puppet is heavily influenced by an individual, it will always and precisely follow instructions. This is the situation facing African leaders in relation to the West. The African leaders are puppets. The Western nations are the puppeteers.
I’m not sure how to explain to my children that Sub-Saharan Africa is rich in natural resources like cobalt, diamonds, platinum, and uranium. However, the region suffers from high poverty rates, with 27 of the world’s 28 poorest countries and an average poverty rate of 41%.

Another statistic that I can’t explain to my children is that Africa has 65% of the world’s arable land and 10% of internal renewable freshwater sources, according to the United Nations Environment Programme. But, despite this, we are still living impoverished.
African leaders, frequently with Western backing, have contributed to the continent’s problems. They have maintained poverty and instability, particularly in rural areas, resulting in increased crime and social concerns. Rather than working for the people, these leaders sold their country to the white man in exchange for political support. They understand that without Western backing, they will be unable to sit in the seat of power.
Don’t get me wrong, we have had genuine leaders who defied this western agenda of an improvised africa. Leaders such as Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara paid a brutal price for their defiance, serving as cautionary tales to others. Their attempts to reduce colonial interference were met with tragic results. The only difference between all of these great names is that they died because they loved Africa. These men died brutally, despite their best efforts to end the colonial power’s meddling in Africa.
My biggest puzzle is why we have summits like the US-Africa, China-Africa, or Japan-Africa summits. In what ways do you and I gain from these summits? If there was any justice in the world, it should be the Nigeria-Asia Summit, South Africa-Europe Summit, or Kenya-Pacific Summit. However, because we have reduced ourselves to slaves and beggars, we have been made to resemble a continent in its adolescence, despite being the cradle of humanity.
What amazes me the most is how African leaders never cease to demonstrate their loyalty to their colonial masters. This is why, whenever they get sick, they board their luxurious jets and spend money on medical tourism, holiday tourism, and sending their children to their respective colonial masters’ countries. However, when they die, they bring their bodies to be buried in Africa.
Every day for the average African man is about waking up and finding food to eat. We literally live to survive because demonic entities have mortgaged our future. Some of us were born mentally and financially poor. This is why we do not even understand our rights to demand good governance.
The western countries understand how to play our game. They understand our political philosophy and how to win the hearts of African men. They are aware of the leaders we admire, because if he is from our tribe, that is a winning formula. But, in general, we are too ignorant to realize that this is why we are a backward continent.
The only way to solve Africa’s problems is through a revolution. The revolution must aim to rid Africa of all western colonial interference. We are currently fighting the wrong battles among ourselves. The moment we realize who our enemy is, our liberation will begin.
